‘The colour book’ Walcot House’s new supplement has gone down a storm!

Inserted into the May edition of Homes and Gardens, the colour book was created to show off our beautiful finials and poles. It will give you ideas of how our products can be used with a variety of different fabrics to achieve some very distinct looks. It also gives a taste of the huge range of colour options and combinations we have available.

For your copy simply email  kirsty.gawthorne@walcothouse.com asking for the colour book.

Yeoward Green

Vibrant spring greens are the theme for this post, with William Yeoward’s stunning collection of fabrics acting as the perfect back drop for our rock candy finials and american walnut curtain pole.

Our curtain poles cut the mustard!

With one of our most vibrant and daring poles being featured in House and Garden this month, we thought we would give you a taste of some of the other ways to introduce warm and cheerful shades of yellow into your home.

Contemporary prints in yellow and white from Christopher Farr work with our stainless steel curtain poles and hand blown glass ellipse to create a fresh but detailed look.

Hand printed linens chosen from Rapture and Wright sit perfectly with our bespoke look Combination and Twine finals. Each twine is hand dyed at our studio and applied to the finials per order.

Interior trends for 2011/12

With the New Year comes new trends, and after visiting IMM cologne and Maison Object we were full of inspiration and already talking feverishly about our next product launch.  Below are a few images of our already existing product range highlighting the colours for 2011/12

While visiting the NCS stand we picked up our colour palette chart for 2011/12. Which once back in the studio we could go about interpreting into colours for the contemporary interior. Below are our five key trends and styles that will lead us into 2011 and our next product launch.

Old English Blues – a collection of classic colours and materials, petrol and lead blues to bottle greens and dining room reds this collection is about material quality and subtle textures to create a warm winter room.

Into the woods – earthy greens, stained wood and all things organic are celebrated in this trend.

Sahara City – warm yellows teamed with cool stainless steel, a vibrant colour palette to soften a sharp contemporary interior.

Arabian Dusk – sat starring across the Nile this colour combination is demonstrated perfectly as the day draws to a close.

Sweet Shop –  with intricate patterns and attention to the smallest of details this look combines cool blues with feminine charm.

Cloth

Cloth is an independent Sydney based company who design and create unique wallpapers and fabrics, their subtle use of detail and pattern combined with bold shapes and colours makes them a firm favourite in our books. We couldn’t resist sitting them along side some of our curtain poles

We make furnishing fabric the old fashioned way, screen printed by hand on a long table in a tin shed in the country.

We love working with natural fabrics, our top three favorites being hemp, linen and organic cotton. We use water based, non toxic inks and dyes and have a controllable, low impact approach to manufacturing and materials. And the inspiration for our work comes from the strength, austerity and scale of the Australian landscape”
